Kestrel is a free daily email brief. This page describes everything we do with your data.

What we collect

Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it. Nothing else. No passwords, no tracking pixels in the brief, no cookies for advertising.

Why we collect it

Solely to send you the Kestrel brief. We confirm every subscription by email (double opt-in) so nobody can sign you up without your consent.

Where it lives

Your details are stored in a private database (Cloudflare D1) used only by the Kestrel sending system. Emails are delivered via Postmark, our email service provider.

What we never do

We do not sell, share, rent or trade the subscriber list. We do not add addresses that were not submitted to us. We do not use your address for anything except the brief.

Leaving

Every brief contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all email immediately. To have your record deleted entirely, email [email protected].

Site analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookie-less, privacy-first counter of page views. It does not profile you or follow you across the web.
